5 Face Painting Designs That Never Go Out of Style

Butterflies, tigers, and glitter hearts - a quick tour of the designs that show up on my chair the most, no matter the season.

Butterfly wings are the single most-requested design I paint, hands down. They work on almost any age, take about two minutes for a simple version, and photograph beautifully.

Tiger stripes are the go-to for kids who want something a little bolder without going full face. Superhero masks are close behind, especially at birthday parties where half the guest list shows up already wearing a cape.

Glitter hearts are the quiet favorite - fast, sparkly, and almost always the first thing painted on a little sibling who's too young to sit still for anything more detailed. And unicorns never, ever go out of style.
